I use to try to chase after this moment because I thought it defined me and was my identity. Winning this state championship in high school, with my sister, was a great moment and incredible memory, but it was not and is not who I am (although, it is a part of who I am). When my competitive athletic career was over, I felt lost and didn't know who I was anymore. I will always be an athlete, but my identity is so much more than that. I am a daughter of The King (which makes me a princess, by the way). Sometimes it is hard to move on, and we try too hard to live in the past. It is like we are looking for those "glory" days to last forever, but they don't, and they shouldn't! God has so much more out there for each and every one of us. He wants us to keep chasing after and finding new memories and live for each moment, not old ones! He wants us to continue to press on toward new goals and new heights. He wants us to live the amazing and abundant life He has for us! If you aren't living the amazing and abundant life God has for you, Begin your Pursuit today!
