Ah, the age old question "what comes first, the chicken or the egg?" I believe we can ponder a new question in a similar way..."What comes first, motivation or action?" There are times when I believe we are very motivated and it drives our action, however, I have not only heard and read, but experienced that sometimes you need to take action before you find motivation. This is why habits are so crucial to moving ahead and reaching our goals. There are more days than I care to admit that I am not motivated at all to make work calls or get a workout in for the day, but more times than not, after a few calls or 5 minutes working out, I find that motivation that pushes me to finish strong! I wish this was true all the time, but the reality is that there will be some days that even after you start doing that dreaded activity, you don't find yourself any more motivated to finish. What do you do the? DO IT ANYWAY!
